Imperial Motion Welcomes Pro Surfer Dave Yearwood

Yearwood to assist with IM | INVOLVED campaign in his dry time

Tacoma, WA (May 6, 2011): Riding in for the 2011 spring surf season, Imperial Motion has opened the doors for surfer Dave Yearwood to join the band of underachievers and provide some advocacy with the IM | INVOLVED campaign. Dave, a pro surfer typically found near Wrightsville Beach, NC, has become more recently known for his board shaping for Yearwood Surfboards, a dream he pursued after a dampening acl injury.

Dave is not your typical pro surfer. Constantly marching to the beat of his own drum, Dave does nothing better than simply being himself, daily gliding across waves on anything from a classic single fin to one of his own creations. Specializing in custom production and a variety of different fish shapes, Dave sees that his soul is worked into each new board. While the boards under his feet occasionally change, the smile on his face always remains.

“Everyone here is super stoked to welcome Dave to the family, not only as a surfer and a friend, but also as an ambassador for our IM | INVOLVED campaign,” said Spencer Goetz of Imperial Motion. “We feel that Dave's time-less style and love for life are the same qualities we appreciate here at IM. We are looking forward to doing some great things together.”

“I couldn't be happier with this partnership,” said Dave Yearwood. “Everything about Imperial Motion, from their style to their outlook, makes this a perfect fit for me. You can tell they love what they do by the quality and look of the gear. I couldn't be any more excited about what Imperial Motion is doing to help others with their IM | INVOLVED line. Style and originality with a little bit of philanthropy sums it up for me. I'm stoked.”
